Job Description
VINIRMA Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a 360degree Human Resource Management Consulting and Staffing Services Organization with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, USA, Singapore & India. VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for Head Of IT for one of our clients which is a leading Banks in Malaysia with the following skill set and terms and conditions. Skill Set required: • University graduate with a minimum of 7 to 10 years relevant experience in IT/financial services applications systems • Professional qualifications (IT Eng, MBA, etc…) preferable • Knowledge of database & accounting systems to support accurate financial information • Excellent administrative & management skills with strong ability to lead & motivate subordinates • Strong technical abilities with excellent interpersonal, written, oral, PC literacy & communication skills Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines & resolve problems • Financial background is mandatory Temenos T24 knowledge will be a plus. Must be Malaysian Nationality Responsibilities • Supervise all IT functions • Ensure that IT policies & procedures are updated when required & that they are adhered to • Perform System Security Officer Functions & maintain the master passwords of the systems • Support & motivate staff under supervision • Review & update IT policies and standards focusing on minimizing costs & maximizing controls relating to the acquisition, implementation & operation of IT & communication systems • Assess IT needs & requirements & lead all system development & implementation projects in close coordination • Evaluate systems operations on an ongoing basis for adherence to predetermined systems & operational goals & objectives. Provide reporting to management to ensure communication of operating results • Prepare IT plans & strategies. Propose updating systems & submit periodical IT activity reports • Review & oversee maintenance contract with vendors & suppliers • Ensure IT strategic plan of all departments are in line & effectively harmonized with the overall Bank’s IT strategic plan • Understand business needs of the users & ensure that systems’ proposals meet user needs & interface properly with other systems locally & Bank-wide • Respond to user requirements & maintain good contact with vendors to ensure that the best available technology is acquired at the best available price & level of support • Setup & implement policies regarding the use of IT resources & ensure their smooth operations securely & at a high degree of reliability • Advise management on how to best utilize IT resources to reach their goals & objectives • Directly involved in systems’ development, maintenance, support, infrastructure, policies & standards • Liaise personally between vendors, Bank-wide IT officers, & users. Ensure good communication among various stakeholders (across Business Line Leaders, Support Functional Leaders, Management, etc.) • Approve hardware & software purchases for the various departments within the authorized limits • Perform module & system testing to ensure proper testing procedures are followed during all phases of system development • Provide a comprehensive, efficient & effective systems’ support & ensure minimum systems’ downtime and smooth systems’ implementation with minimum disturbance to the operations • Maintain & support current & future systems • Train the users on new systems &/or new releases of business applications, networking & operating systems • Lead & spearhead the design & the implementation of contingency & disaster recovery system plans • Develop & plan training subordinates to enhance their knowledge & skill requirements Domain: Bank Terms and conditions: Joining time frame: Maximum 4 weeks The selected candidates shall be a direct employee of one of the leading Banks in Malaysia.
